JY vs WL
Since the whole world is talking bout this topic, i should "chap in" also..heh
well for me, the most interesting issue is "Is JY a better singer than WL or vice versa"? there are people who said that WL is truely talented (which i totally agree), but they are also ppl who said that WL sang much better than JY and JY's singing is so-so.
i don't know if i'm so lousy in listening to music, but all i can recall is up till now, the only song that WL sang superbly well is the "zou chu hei an shi jie ba peng you", i can feel he's singing for his friends, those who are sadly blind like him, to be brave and be themsleves. But for the other songs, i think they are ok-lor. But of course, people are entitled to their own opinion. heh.
As for JY, he's not a superb singer too. But he's very consistent, very smooth voice and rarely makes mistakes. The only problem is he doesn't seem to add his own style into the songs he sang. The songs he sang just sound like that sang by the original singers..heh. His english song wasn't that fantastic though ( i wonder why the judges are so amazed with that song). BUT definitely his interpretation of TONG HUA is much better than WL (i feel).
So on the whole i still think JY is better than WL (just singing abilities) but i think WL is catching up though.
A friend of mine told me that if a person belonging to a perticular church in the West takes part in the competition, he will probably win. (i didn't say it. but it's interesting).
As for the girls, i must admit the xin hui sang much better than kelly. sigh. so i agree with kelvin loh. I felt that the finals would be a tough fight between xin hui and JY. But this is not going to happen. sigh.
While i'm watching the show, i really feel very sad for WL (not sympathy!). As a doctor to be, i was wondering whether i'm able to help him regain his eye sight. He has worked so hard he really deserved to look at himself, his fans and what he had achieved.
Enough of talking and saying rubbish coz i'm just like most ppl, talking shit here and not supporting them by buying their albums and making the phone calls. heh. but i wonder where the hell the money is going to. they don't even give xin hui enough money to buy clothes to make her look better (she really didn't look as good as kelly, although kelly is not that gorgeous)
My predictions. WL will win. (he won derrick and JY, who else can win him?)
Lastly, voting should be toll free.

hmm..decided to watch this show when the competition has already reached "revival round".
well..my verdict..i think it's a bit hard for them to make it that big coz although they can sing..i really dunno if they really looked like a star.
this is quite an interesting show coz they allow all ppl to take part. even handicap person. well, im quite sad when derrick was out coz i think he's the only person in the competition who has a unique voice and he always make an effort to change the song, unlike the rest, who merely sing the song like how the original singer sang. If this is american idol, like wat simon says..u r just someone who can sing well in a karaokae bar, but not a star without ur own style.
well, about articulation, jay chou sings slow songs and 99.99999% of the time u wonder what the lyrics are..but he's still a star. so im sure derrick can make it big even with this problem.
regarding weilian, well..with no offence to handicap ppl, i really wonder if it's fair for him to be in the competition. He can sing well (for certain type of songs only), and can be a singer in the future (i'm not saying blind ppl can't be stars, look at andrea bocelli) but in a competition, i'm sure a percentage (i wonder how much) comes from sympathy callers.
I'm quite amazed about kelly. coz she wasn't very pretty at the beginning, but last thurs, she looked really good.
Well, i think JY should win (although i don't think he's a SUPERSTAR) and i think Kelly will win. I hope and i really hope.
