When will my bus come again?

I was told by my friend that I should never board a bus if it was not the one I had been waiting for.

And he said I could always alight and board another if I had boarded the wrong one.

Even if I missed it, I could always wait for the next one to come cos there'll be another one that would be arriving later.

In response, I told him my story...

There was only one bus that would come to my bus stop. After a long unbearable wait, that bus finally came. But... it did not show any signal that it was going to stop for me.

Eventually it really didn't. So I started giving chase.

Initially I was running beside the bus. I could still keep up with it.

As the bus gathered speed, I began to get weary at the same time. Gradually, I started running behind the bus and the distance between the bus and me just continued to increase, increase and increase...

My legs gave way. I fell. I'm hurt. But would the bus stop for me?
