Every man experiments with facial hair some point in his life. Its a sudden urge triggered by a sudden influence. This just happened to be my time. Its the thrill of finding out something new. The thrill of seeing yourself looking different. Its exhilarating.
Its been a learning process no matter how minute. Kofi Annan sports a goatee. So does Stone Cold. So did Al Gore after his electorial lost to George Bush. Its no walk in the park. Many think its a simple process: Just dont pick up the razor.
Wrong. Dead wrong. The itch kills you in the first few days. You let it grow for a week without any intervention. Then its time to shape it to perfection. Symmetry is hard to attain. Constant adjustments have to be done. An instance of neglect screws it up. You want it to remain soft so you shampoo it once in a while. Different strands go at different lenghts. Hence you got to cut it even periodically.
There are many variants of facial hair. There is just the chin tuft. The full french. The chin stap. And the Osama too. Growing one takes bravery. Yes. Takes bravery. People have been seeing you without it. You have to be prepared for comments cause people will notice and comment. Hair can make you look ultra stylish or profoundly dumb.
But the best part is yet to come.
The thrill of shaving it off. The thrill of seeing youself looking different again.
